Carla Hardzog-Britt MD

While growing up on a farm outside of Elgin, Oklahoma, Dr. Hardzog-Britt knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a doctor. To follow that dream she attended Oklahoma State University and received a degree in microbiology. She then completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. While in medical school, she realized her life calling was to be a pediatrician. Pediatric residency was completed at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma where she also was honored to be chosen to serve as the Chief Resident of Pediatrics. In 1991 she joined Northwest Pediatrics where she has practiced her entire career. She has had the immense privilege of coming alongside parents as they raise their children from birth to adulthood. Now the joy is doubled as she has many second generation patients in her practice.

Her husband Matthew is also a physician, specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine. They have three adult children and two beautiful grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys gardening, hosting friends for dinner, cheering on the Thunder, and traveling, especially to visit her grandchildren.

A fun fact about Dr. Hardzog-Britt is that she has collected 27 sets of dishes (and counting). She may or may not live by the motto of “She who dies with the most plates wins”.

She was selected as Pediatric Chief Resident in 2002, and for the next 20 years practiced general pediatrics in various capacities at the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital including Pediatric Residency Program Director and Vice-Chair of Education for the Department of Pediatrics. Fun fact, Dr. Hester directly supervised the pediatric training for a large percentage of currently practicing general pediatricians in Oklahoma!

Dr. Hester joined Northwest Pediatrics in August, 2022, and wholeheartedly loves her career transition. She values close relationships with her patients and families, building on shared trust, respect, humor, and grace. She has two children Zoe and Sydney, three cats, and a dog named Professor Kisses (who is a very good boy).

Jason Onarecker, MD

So a little bit about myself. I have lived nearly my whole life in Oklahoma. I went to a local high school here in Edmond (OCS) then got a degree in biomedical engineering from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK and worked as an engineer for several years. I met my wife, Lindsay, there in Tulsa and we got married right before I started medical school in 2013. Fun fact: I was trained in residency at OU Children’s Hospital by the good Dr. Hester and Dr. Busey of NW Peds. Fast forward to 2024 and I now have a family of five and have been in pediatric practice for the last four years only a few short miles away from my childhood home. My wife and I have discovered we only produce girl babies, so now we have 7, 5, and 2 year old girls and my house is full of all of the pink and glittery things you can imagine. My life is also full of mountain biking, Thunder basketball, church, and far more nerdy hobbies than I could ever have time for.

Adam Chutek, MD

Dr. Chutek moved to Edmond, Oklahoma from San Antonio at the age of eight and has called Oklahoma home ever since. He began his journey with Northwest Pediatrics at this time as a patient of Dr. Vincent himself. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University before completing medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He went on to complete his pediatric residency in Philadelphia, training primarily at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, with additional experience at CHOP and Temple University Hospital. Particular interests in pediatric medicine include sports, allergies, and asthma. He is married to his wife Katie, a nurse at OU Children’s Hospital, and together they share their home with two golden retrievers, Everest and Ellinor (photos can and will be shared at a moment's notice). Outside of medicine, Dr. Chutek enjoys following sports—especially the OKC Thunder—as well as photography and spending time with family/friends.
